Why are extra guest charges not used?
Although API responses contain extra guest charge fields, most suppliers (properties) do not sufficiently provide values for these fields.

Therefore, extra guest charges are:
- Not prepaid through the channel
- Handled as on-site payment
Correct Room Search Method
Basic Principle
You can search for all rooms that can accommodate the total number of guests including infants and children. Search is based on maximum occupancy.
Example

💡 Example Scenario
When a customer wants to book for 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant (4 guests total):
- API Search: Search for rooms that can accommodate 4 guests (based on maximum occupancy)
- Reservation Request: Book with the room's base occupancy and standard room rate

When searching for 4 guests, rooms with maximum occupancy of 4 or more are returned:

Reservation Request Guidelines
Follow these guidelines when making a reservation request:
- Base Occupancy: Book with the room's base occupancy
- Rate: Only charge the standard room rate (exclude extra guest charges)
- Extra Charge Fields: Ignore extra guest charge fields in API responses
